Linda offers support with all aspects of life-challenge and change, within a confidential and non-judgemental space.
Relationship issues, depression, grief & loss, trauma, fear, anxiety, confidence, body image, eating disorder and self-esteem are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at certain points in our lives. Through counselling and support, we are able to help you recover a sense of self, motivation, perspective and joy.
Many individuals experience symptoms associated with pain and trauma at some stage. Feelings of anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can threaten us long after a traumatic event. As a military veteran with experience of deployments, active duty and complex trauma including PTSD, Linda can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Linda also understands the pressures associated with military service, the demands on Defence Force personnel and families, as well as emergency and front line services including FIFO.
Linda Flewker-Barker offers business/life coaching within a safe and confidential space, built on many years of experience in a wide variety of settings.
Linda is also accredited by the Anglican Diocese of Perth to offer Professional Supervision to clergy.
Receiving regular support and the enabling of vision and growth are essential parts of your best self - whether personally or professionally. Coaching and supervision enables you - whatever your role - to offer best practice to others; safeguard your own well being; and practice much needed self-care.
Bespoke workshops and seminars are also available to facilitate small and larger group learning around wellbeing, self-care and other mental health related issues.
Are you preparing to move in together? Perhaps you're getting married? Children changing your daily experience of love and intimacy between you and your partner?
The average time before a couple decides to seek help is approximately SIX YEARS. That's a really long time to recover from, so early intervention and support is a really important step towards maintaining a functioning and healthy relationship.
Couples Therapy can help in identifying strengths and weaknesses in communication; can offer understanding and tools to develop better communication and shared goals and mediate the tricky waters of conflict management.
When couples separate or divorce, therapy can also assist in achieving healthier communication and best-care for the family.
Relationships are challenging enough without the added pressures of FIFO work, military deployments, blue light services and the effects on individuals as well as families.
Linda understands the pressures associated with military service, the demands on Defence Force personnel and families, as well as emergency and front line services including FIFO.
Using the Gottman Institute* framework where possible, tools and tips are also provided for client understanding and growth during the process.
